About the Dumont Community Group
Note: This site is still under construction; please bear with us...
The Dumont Community Group is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was founded in August of 2016 by Dumont resident, Andrew LaBruno, with the assistance of civic minded residents. The group’s primary goal is to create a positive change in the Borough of Dumont through developing, producing, and providing community based events and activities to the residents of Dumont.
Dumont Community Group’s board of directors and officers set out to provide these events and activities with little to no cost to Dumont residents by fundraising, soliciting sponsors and seeking donations from local businesses, professionals and corporations. The organization also pursues to participate in community service and charitable activities by coordinating with other community organizations.
Dumont Community Group provides volunteer opportunities for our juveniles and teens with the ability to earn community service credit. Our volunteers also gain work experience in the fields of event planning and community and human services. We believe the involvement of our youth in this organization will provide the community with future community leaders and professionals.
Our organization relies on the support of our community and residents. We help to offset costs of events and administrative costs by an open enrollment membership which provides exclusive rights to vote, ability to become a board member and also to attend private member events.
You do not have to be a member to volunteer but we do suggest it.
